Fire protection of ventilation systems
Focus on sustainability and minimal environmental impact
Technor can help fireproof your ventilation system to minimize the risk of fire.
A fire can cause unimaginable damage and financial consequences for your business – and therefore it is essential that both personnel and inventory are protected through fire protection.
However, it is a complicated task that requires insight into the applicable regulations and knowledge of how to carry out fire protection correctly. At Technor, we are experts in this task, so you are sure to be left with a complete fire-safe ventilation system that creates safety in your workplace, prevents damage and saves you money in the long run.
Fire safety is a big responsibility, but we are happy to take it on so that you and the rest of your company can go to work safely without the risk of fire from the ventilation system.

Ventilation industry form
This is what we offer in fire protection
At Technor, we offer the following fire protection services:
- Spark detection
- Firefighting
- Fire prevention
- Fire protection in connection with ATEX
You can read about the individual services and how they contribute to fire safety of your ventilation system below.
How do you fireproof a ventilation system?
Fire protection does not consist of just one, but rather many different measures, which together protect and ensure that fire and smoke do not spread in the ventilation system and to other areas in the building, machines, etc. There are different methods for achieving fire protection, and the right one for you depends on how your system is constructed and how the building is arranged.
Spark detection
Sparks are like lighter fluid – they can quickly ignite a fire or explosion. Fortunately, spark detection can catch the spark before it takes hold. In this way, spark detection can prevent a fire from occurring and starting before it is too late.
In short, spark detection and spark extinguishing work by placing a sensor in the ventilation duct or pipe, which reacts if it detects a spark. If a spark occurs, it is automatically extinguished using water, so neither you, your employees or colleagues are forced to interrupt work.
Firefighting
Firefighting is about preventing the spread of a fire once it has started. There can be many reasons why a spontaneous fire occurs, but regardless of the cause, it is important that it is stopped as quickly as possible.
You can protect yourself from the spread of fire by making the surroundings as fire-resistant as possible. For example, you can install a temperature sensor that, if it registers high temperatures, lets water in via a valve. Fire and smoke separation, installation of automatic dampers, fire insulation and fire joints are some of the other measures that can be taken to minimize the risk of the fire spreading.
With effective firefighting initiatives, you as a company can quickly recover and move on after the fire without causing major damage.
Fire prevention
Certain manufacturing companies are particularly vulnerable to fire as they work with (potentially) flammable materials. Therefore, they must implement various fire prevention initiatives to reduce their exposure.
Fire prevention is the overall effort that is undertaken to prevent a fire from occurring in the first place. For example, you can set up spark detection, explosion protection, fire and smoke separation, set up automatic dampers, fire insulation, fire joints, etc. It is the company's surroundings and ventilation solution that determine which fire prevention measures are needed.
Fire protection in connection with ATEX
Fire protection and ATEX are inextricably linked. ATEX stands for explosive atmosphere and refers to the explosion hazard that occurs when dust is stirred up and mixed with air. If a spark is lit near this mixture, there is a risk that it will ignite.
When working in explosive environments, an ATEX ventilation system must be installed to remove dust from the air. This is a way to reduce the risk of fire and explosion and should be considered when working with fire safety.

Safety and security in everyday life
It is extremely important that your workplace is as fire-proof as possible. It should be safe to go to work – and no employee, manager or owner of a manufacturing company should fear that a spontaneous fire or explosion could occur as a result of a work process.
In addition to preventing personal injury and saving money on unpredictable damage to property, fire protection can also help ensure a good working environment. Safety makes for happy employees, which is the foundation for them to perform at their best.
Let us fireproof your facility
Are you ready to take the step towards a safer everyday life, we are ready to help. We design, build, install and service ventilation systems – and in this connection we offer to fireproof your system and workplace. If you need to have a new ATEX ventilation system installed, we can also fireproof it at the same time.
We have 20 years of experience in the industry and we work with Nextech to offer the absolute best solution. Which solution is suitable for your facility depends entirely on its surroundings and construction.
